Seven Unity businesses hit in overnight break-ins: RCMP
Unity RCMP are investigating a series of break-ins and thefts reported at several businesses in the town earlier this week.
Police said they received reports on Jan. 8 of break-ins at seven Unity businesses, with many reporting cash stolen. Minimal damage was also reported to officers at the affected locations.
Investigators believe the same suspect was involved in all of the incidents. The suspect is described as an unknown male with a large build, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and a black face covering. Police believe he was walking through the town carrying a crowbar.
RCMP are asking residents to check security camera or doorbell footage from Jan. 8 between midnight and 4 a.m. and report anything suspicious to police.
