Replica gun pointed at Lloydminster City Hall: RCMP
Lloydminster RCMP have charged a man after officers responded to a report of a firearm being pointed at City Hall on June 8.
Officers were called at about 2:50 p.m. and intercepted the suspect within minutes as he was leaving the area. The man was arrested without incident.
RCMP said a search incidental to arrest revealed a replica firearm. No one was injured during the incident or the arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Stephen Thunderblanket, 35, of Cut Knife, has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, carrying a concealed weapon, uttering threats, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
