RCMP investigate suspicious death at Moosomin First Nation

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes unit is investigating a suspicious death at Moosomin First Nation.

On December 8, at approximately 12p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a man requiring medical attention. Officers immediately responded and located the victim at a residential property.

Officers provided medical aid to the man, who was later pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as 59-year-old Arnold Thomas from Saulteaux First Nation.

His family has been notified.

Through their investigation, RCMP determined the death to be suspicious.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking anyone with information about this incident, or who was in contact with Arnold Thomas between December 4 and December 8, to contact police immediately. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
