City 110th Street project to start sidewalk, paving work in August

Jul 30, 2025 | 2:13 PM

Underground work on 110th Street is nearly complete, and the city says the project will move to sidewalks and paving in August.

As of July 22, work crews have replaced about 625 metres of water and sanitary sewer mains, out of a total 780 metres planned for the project.

With the underground phase set to finish by the end of July, concrete work on sidewalks is expected to begin in early August, followed by asphalt paving shortly after.

Additional sidewalk projects across the city will also get underway once concrete contractors arrive after the long weekend.

Residents are being asked to leave garbage bins at the front of their properties, with contractors moving them if necessary. Mail delivery will continue, and parking restrictions have been paused to give people on 110th Street alternative places to park.

The full project includes underground utility upgrades, sidewalk replacement and road resurfacing between Pioneer Avenue and the mid-900 block of 110th Street.
