Search underway after reported assault, vehicle with stolen plates flees North Battleford mall

RCMP are investigating an assault after a witness reported seeing a man physically assault a woman at Frontier Mall in North Battleford before the two fled in a vehicle with stolen licence plates.
According to an alert issued through Saskatchewan Crime Watch, the incident happened around 3:07 p.m. on July 23 outside a business at 11429 Railway Avenue.
The suspect was allegedly seen yelling at a woman to get into the vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene with both individuals inside. Police said the vehicle is a black 2020 Ford Escape with Saskatchewan licence plate 606 NBA – which is a plate reported stolen from the Saskatoon area.
Mounties are asking the public to be on the lookout for the vehicle and contact 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 with any information related to the incident.
