Rita Czarnecki passed away peacefully at the Cold Lake Healthcare Center on June 2, 2025 at 1:15 p.m. with Racheal, her youngest daughter at her side.
Rita was born to August P. Yeretch and Anastasia Yeretch (nee Golka) on December 7, 1928 in Barry’s Bay, Renfrew, ON. She had one brother named Edward Yeretch.
Rita met Chester P. Czarnecki in Toronto, ON and married him on April 30, 1949. They made their home in the hamlet of Alticane, SK where they had four daughters, Christina, Veronica, Lorraine, and Rachael. They raised their daughters and then in 1985 they moved to retire in Saskatoon. After Rita’s husbands passing in 1993, Rita moved to Cold Lake to be near family. There she resided until her passing. Rita lived a quiet life, mostly reading and watching the news in her last years with on earth.
She leaves to mourn her daughters, Christine (Roland) Rehmann, Veronica Messmer, Lorraine Pelletier (Curtis Carpieter) and Rachael Traa (Ryan Samuel); grandsons Cole Rehmann, Wade (Carmen) Rehmann, Niles Rehmann (Amanda Steviens); granddaughters Janelle (Nevin) Andreas, Amanda Pelletier (Nelson Suarez), Ryland Pelletier (Abbie Berean), and Nancy (Steve) Grzyb; great grandchildren Landon Rehmann, Hailey Rehmann, Chole Tso, Brylin Andreas, Kale Gryzb, Tayten Grzyb, Clytie Pelletier and Charlie Pelletier.
Prayers for Rita will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 18 33 St E, Saskatoon, SK.
