We are heartbroken to announce that our mom passed away early Thursday morning at North Battleford hospital, peacefully in her sleep. Thanks to everyone for your condolences and friendship. A great grandma, grandma, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Still sharp and always fun right to the end. Competitive in every game she played, particularly when her brother Laverne (Sandy) was around, whom she lost only weeks before.

Predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Wettlaufer, her parents Annie and Sig Sandberg, and brothers and sisters Lyle, Joyce, Don, Doris, and Laverne.

Survived by her children Elizabeth Ann Wettlaufer, John (Barb) Wettlaufer, grandchildren: Cara (Ryan, Kashton and Harper ) Wettlaufer, Chad (Robin) Wettlaufer and great-granddaughter Leni Ann Wettlaufer.

She was born in Leslie, Saskatchewan, and moved to Cut Knife at an early age, where she never left. She spent many years as a registered nurse at the Cut Knife hospital and later at the nursing home. She loved her church and her community. Thanks to everyone who was part of her life. She wanted everyone to know that “she did it her way”.
