Karen Cimmer, born September 21, 1948 and passed away May 6, 2025.
Left to cherish her Memory is her loving husband of 57 years, Louis Cimmer; daughter: Lisa Cimmer (grandchildren; Trinity, Jasmine & Luke), son Tim Cimmer (children hopefully on the way) brother ; Terry (Florence) James and their children & grandchildren, brother Steve James, and nieces, GiGi & Joanne, nephews Darren & Kim and NUMEROUS friends which would be family from Keeley Lake, the Battlefords and abroad.
She passed away with her family by her side, after a brief courageous battle with cancer, she fought hard. But it wasn’t to be. She’s survived by her husband Louis, son Tim, daughter Lisa, and her grandchildren, Trinity, Jasmine, and Luke. Karen was a good mother to Tim and Lisa, grandmother to Trinity, Jasmine and Luke, and wife to Louis. She was a friend to many and anybody who worked with her and at her second home of Keeley Lake where she and Louis greatly enjoyed. She was also a dedicated sister to her brother, Steve, that counted on her for anything he might need. She worked for many years at Catholic Family Services as the family support services program coordinator. She loved to spend her time at the cabin at Keeley Lake; she was an excellent fisherwoman most time besting her husband Lou, and she loved to pick blueberries.
She could put on a fish-fry like no one else could with her red hots and secret recipe of flour breaded fish and freshly made blueberry pie. She loved to spend hours by the fire on a nice night. She loved to take rides on the side-by-side to our small lakes, fern and atch and take her new baby Bella for a swim as this little dog loves the water and play fetch the stick. She had many friends at Keeley and liked to go for coffee and visit and always there to help out at the resort and we’ll surely be missed. People like this only come once in a lifetime and she was one of them. Rest in peace, Karen.
Funeral Service for Karen will be held on Tuesday, May 13 @ 10:00 a.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church, Battleford, Sk, with Reverend Father Mahn officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium – Larissa Wack Apprentice Funeral Director.
