Large police presence on St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford

A number of RCMP and community safety officers and vehicles have surrounded a building in North Battleford. There also appears to be members from the Emergency Response Team in the area on the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive.
Police on scene would not confirm whether the action is related to an armed carjacking turned kidnapping from earlier today.
A 33-year old woman went missing for several hours after a man with a gun stole the vehicle she was in on Railway Avenue E. around 5 a.m. Police said the woman was located in a residence on St. Laurent Drive around 1:30 this afternoon but the suspect was still at large.
