Recap: over 15 moves made during SJHL trade deadline day

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) trade deadline was 5 p.m. Friday and there were 15+ moves made around the league.

One of the biggest moves around the league was between the Flin Flon Bombers and Notre Dame Hounds.

Flin Flon picked up Notre Dame Hounds captain Liam Hunks, a 2004-born defenceman who had eight goals and 16 assists through 31 games his season with the Hounds. The Bombers gave in return Wylie Smith, Evin Bossel and Brennan Brown along with a player development fee.

Another huge trade was between the Kindersley Klippers and La Ronge Ice Wolves.

The Klippers acquired 2004-born forward Mason Bueckert from the La Ronge Ice Wolves. Bueckert has 43 goals and 111 points in 122 career SJHL contests, along with 31 points in 34 games this season with the Ice Wolves. La Ronge in return got Alex Mack, Dayton Tailfeathers and a player development fee. Kindersley also sends La Ronge their 2025 2010 first round pick along with 2025 2009 second round pick. La Ronge sends Kindersley their 2025 2009 third round pick.

The Nipawin Hawks (SJHL) traded Henry Smith to the Niverville Night Hawks (MJHL) for a PDF.

The Estevan Bruins (SJHL) acquired Beck Boiteau from the Whitecourt Wolverines for the PDF and the CJHL rights to Ben Wright.

The Estevan Bruins (SJHL) traded Luke Lawford to the Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL) for Ethan Andrews.

The Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL) traded Adam Pinsent to the Yarmouth Mariners (MHL) for a PDF.

The Estevan Bruins (SJHL) traded Cole Robertson to the Virden Oil Capitals (MJHL) for a PDF.

The Melville Millionaires (SJHL) traded Peyton Allard to the Notre Dame Hounds for a PDF.

The Estevan Bruins (SJHL) acquired Rylan Ringor from the Dauphin Kings (MJHL) for a PDF.

The Nipawin Hawks (SJHL) acquired Nikolas Trakakis from the Virden Oil Capitals for a PDF.

The Battlefords North Stars (SJHL) acquired Michael Carter from the Estevan Bruins (SJHL) for a PDF.

The La Ronge Ice Wolves (SJHL) traded Luke Scheck to the Swan Valley Stampeders (MJHL) for a PDF.

The Humboldt Broncos (SJHL) acquired Cade Kennedy from the Estevan Bruins (SJHL) for a PDF.

The Melfort Mustangs (SJHL) acquired Notre Dames second round pick in the 2025 (2009) draft for a PDF.

The Weyburn Red Wings (SJHL) acquired the rights to Eric Johnston from the Melville Millionaires in exchange for the rights to Connor Gabriel.

The Kindersley Klippers (SJHL) acquired Thomas Phillips from the Northern Manitoba Blizzard (MJHL) for a PDF.

The Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) trade Nathan Schaefer to the Virden Oil Capitals in exchange for Cole Slobodian and a PDF.
