Provinces $25 Million Investment in Emissions Reduction Projects Driving Sustainable Growth
The Government of Saskatchewan celebrated the success of the Saskatchewan Technology Fund recently, highlighting its $25 million investment in 13 emissions reduction projects.
The Technology Fund is a key component of the province’s Output-Based Performance Standards (OBPS) program for industrial emitters. Through a competitive application process, the fund redirects compliance contributions from industrial emitters back into projects that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“These projects showcase Saskatchewan’s leadership in innovation,” Environment Minister Travis Keisig said. “They position the province as a hub for sustainable economic growth while delivering environmental and economic benefits to residents.”
