RCMP charges three in North Battleford drug and firearms bust
Three people have been charged as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in the Battlefords.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team, along with the North Battlefords Crime Reduction Team—Gang Task Force and the Crime Reduction Team, executed search warrants at two houses in North Battleford on Nov. 28, located in the 800 block of 107th Street and the 1000 block of 105th Street.
Following the search warrants, police seized methamphetamine, drug trafficking evidence, three firearms, ammunition, replica guns, and body armour. Sixteen people were arrested—nine women and seven men—though 13 were later released without charges.
After a thorough investigation, a 27-year-old woman from North Battleford was charged with four offences. These include one count of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possessing a firearm without authorization, one count of unsafe storage of firearms, and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
