It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Edward “Mick” Lehman on November 25, 2024 at the age of 60.
Mick was born in Grand Prairie Alberta on August 24, 1964, and lived a life filled with love, laughter and service to those around him. Mick was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 33 years, Lori, and a cherished father to his three children, Jocelyn, Kelsie and Dawson. He was a treasured son, brother, and friend. His kindness, integrity, and tenacity touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Throughout his life, Mick was known for his kind heart and boundless energy. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the task. Whether it was fixing something around the house, offering advice and a voice of reason, or simply showing up for someone in need of assistance, Mick’s quiet generosity and endless dependability knew no bounds. His passion for life and maximizing quality time was unmistakable. He lived for vacations with Lori and the kids, golf and fishing trips with his lifelong friends, attending concerts (especially living room concerts featuring The Eagles), football game trips, and visiting historical locations. Mick truly made the best moments count with the people who were most dear.
A successful entrepreneur, Mick’s career spanned several diverse ventures, starting with an eavestroughing business with lifelong friends, progressing to taking over the family business with Lori, and eventually moving on to co-owning a busy restaurant until his recent retirement. His steadfast work ethic, genuine dedication, and passion for lifelong learning were unparalleled. He took immense pride in providing for his family and creating lasting memories with them.
Mick was predeceased by his mother, Bea, his sister-in-law Colleen, and his granddaughter Savannah, all of whom he held close in his heart.
He is survived by Lori, Jocelyn, Kelsie and Corey, and Dawson, as well as his father Charlie “Chuck”, his brother Bill, his sister Kim and her husband Gabe, his sister Dawn and her husband Clayton, his father and mother-in-law Don and Linda, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and so many friends.
In his passing, Mick leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who love him. He was the rock to his family, a constant
source of support and dependability, and a man whose heart was as big as his many talents. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Details regarding a celebration of Mick’s life will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
