Marshall election results stand

There’s been no change in the outcome of Marshall’s municipal election after a recount was conducted at Court of King’s Bench in Battleford Thursday morning.

The recount came after concerns about the election appeared in social media posts that raised questions about alleged smudged ballots, incomplete counting and even voter legitimacy.

battlefordsNOW reached out to King’s Bench and was told that while there were some ballots in question presented, only one ballot was tossed out by the justice hearing the case.

Marshall Town Council is scheduled to meet on Dec. 10.
