Mrs. Patricia Kohut

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pat Kohut on November 4, 2024, at the age of 66 years old. Pat was born in Hafford, Saskatchewan on May 14, 1958.
Pat (Toosh) will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Sylvester; daughter Jennifer (Brandon) Nielsen and grandchildren, Raya, Kennedy and Rhett; daughter Joanna (Darcy) Roth and grandchildren, Lexi, Mya and Kayson; daughter Sherri (Rob) Welsh and grandchildren, Keegan and Cameron; brother John (Holly) Dishko; sister-in-law (Carla) Dishko; brother Ron (Joanne) Dishko. Pat is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many other family members and friends.
She is predeceased by an infant son; parents, George and Halia Dishko; brother, Bill Dishko and also her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Stella Kohut.
Pat grew up on a farm near Hafford being the eldest and having three little brothers (brother John, brother Bill and brother Ron). She attended school in Hafford and enjoyed participating in many sports and Ukrainian dancing. She graduated high school in 1976 and attended Saskatoon Business College. Shortly after, she married the love of her life, Sylvester Kohut, in 1978. They settled on a farm near Alticane and had three daughters (Jennifer, Joanna and Sherri). In 1987, they moved to the Town of Hafford to raise their family. Pat had many jobs, but most of her career was at the Hafford Central School as a janitor and caretaker.
Pat took tremendous pride in her work and especially excelled at making specialized Ukrainian foods. Her main focus was always family, close friends and making memories at Sandy Lake. She also enjoyed socializing with her friends at Bingo and going for coffee.
A Prayer Service will be held in Hafford, SK at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church at 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2024.
The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Hafford with Interment at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. A Lunch to follow at the Hafford & District Communiplex.
