BGC Battlefords gets $10K donation

BGC Battlefords now have 10,000 reasons to celebrate.

The Access Communications Children’s Fund (ACCF) donated the funds to the organization earlier Tuesday that will go towards materials and supplies for the free six-day a week drop-in program for children and teens.

“Together, we can lower barriers for children and youth to flourish in our communities,” said Nicole Combres, executive director at BGC Battlefords in a news release.

“Thank you, Access Communications Children’s Fund, for supporting our mission to provide safe, supportive places where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life.”

According to president and access CEO Carmela Haines, the children’s fund’s mandate is to ensure children get a chance.
