RCMP investigating break-in at Pinehouse detachment
Pinehouse RCMP are investigating after tools and backpacks were stolen from an area within their detachment that was under construction.
Police say the incident happened at around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday when two men, dressed in all black, broke into the cell area of the detachment where construction work is currently going on. A third man stayed outside of the building and was seen on surveillance video wearing camouflage patterned pants, a black ballcap, a flannel sweater, and a black hoodie.
Investigators determined the suspects made off with Milwaukee drills, a power concrete saw, two backpacks, nine Milwaukee batteries, a chainsaw, and a number of other handheld tools. Police added that the suspects did not gain access to the main detachment areas.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who noticed any suspicious activity in the Pinehouse Lake area in the early hours of October 8, to contact RCMP at 310-RCMP (7267) or Crime Stoppers.
