Elderly man dead after single vehicle rollover on Hwy 4

An 84-year-old man is dead after his car rolled over on Highway 4 Thursday morning north of North Battleford.

Battlefords RCMP said emergency personnel and members of the public helped the elderly man who was in the vehicle that had rolled onto its roof at around 9:25 a.m.

At the time of the collision, police said the road was very wet and slippery and heavy snowfall made for poor visibility.

The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
