Battlefords mayors to give annual address to chamber

The business community will have an opportunity to learn more about what plans are ahead for the region during the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce’s State of the Town and City Address coming up soon.

This will mark the eighth year of the popular event.

“We’re excited again to have mayors Ryan Bater (City of North Battleford) and Ames Leslie (Town of Battleford) to provide their updates on what and how they see things happening in their communities, respectively,” Chief Operating Officer Linda Machniak said.

They will discuss some of the highlights of the past year as well as what people can anticipate in the year ahead.

Machniak said the address also helps inform the business community of events in the area.

“I think it’s pretty important,” she said. “This is the one public opportunity they have to come and hear from the mayors about the activities within the communities.”

While chamber members and other business people will be attending the address, members of the general public are also able to purchase a ticket if they are interested.

Tickets are available through the chamber.

The luncheon talk will take place on May 16 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Western Development Museum in North Battleford.
