Maidstone RCMP is currently looking for details about a suspicious man following a report they received this week.

According to an RCMP release, the man approached and talked to a child at Sandy Beach Regional Park about 16 kilometres north of Lloydminster.

As per a release, the man is described as a Caucasian with short brown hair, almost 6 feet tall, and weighing around 180 to 200 pounds. He wore navy-coloured sneakers with blue shorts, a grey T-shirt, sunglasses, and a hat. RCMP said he was also carrying a beach mat.

The release said officers could not find the man after conducting extensive patrols.

The RCMP encourages parents to educate their children not to talk to strangers. Children should know that if strangers approach them, they should leave immediately and tell a trusted adult.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have information about the man described above, you can contact Maidstone RCMP at 306-893-4800 or call 310-RCMP.
