Mr. William "Brian" Ward

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of William Brian Ward announce his tragic passing on July 31, 2024. Brian was born on November 15, 1956 in Wilkie, SK. He was the youngest of 6 children. Brian spent the beginning years of his life in Cavel and Delmas, SK in railroad station houses.
Brian started his family in Paynton, SK with three children: Waynn, Christie and Jenna. After leaving Paynton to help with the family farm southwest of Battleford, he met his wife, Teri, and her four sons: Ryan, Steven, Landon and Anthony.
Brian was a very skilled man. He held an abundance of occupations first following in his father’s footsteps on the railroad, then onto others like water hauling, lumber yard attendant, tractor wrecker, farmer, manure hauler and he helped his daughter with her oilfield business running flushby units and servicing oil wells around Maidstone and Lashburn, SK. Brian’s final calling was a posting with the RM of Mayfield performing maintenance as well as running heavy equipment.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Terisa; children: Waynn (Trisha), Christie Lindsay (Del Bialows), Jenna Huard, Ryan Gustafson, Steven (Samantha) Gustafson, Landon (Maesi) Gustafson and Anthony Gustafson; grandchildren: Shawnae, Daxson, Aaliyah, Cash, Devan, Teagan, James, Piper, Odin, and Callen; Along with many cousins, nieces and nephews; Brian was fond of his two great-grandchildren: Kaiyzen and Cain. Brothers: Ralph Ward and Pat Ward; and sisters: Janice Bonefant and Elaine Fenske. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph Thomas James Ward and Pauline Matschke; sister: Geraldine Johnson (Arlo Johnson), sister-in-law: Alice Ward and brother-in-law: Gib Bonefant.
Donations can be made to the Battleford’s and District Food and Resource Centre in Brian’s name.
Funeral services will be held at Territorial Drive Alliance Church on August 14, 2024 at 11am and graveside service will be at the Radisson Cemetery at 2:30pm.
