Agnes (Bobby) Marion Woroch (maiden Soule) was born October 6, 1940, and passed away at the age of 83, July 8, 2024. Agnes was married to Dad (Steve) for 56 years who passed away in 2019. Mom was born and raised on a farm near Ruddell the youngest and probably feistiest of Nora and Luther Soule. She was predeceased by all her siblings Leonard, Lawrence, Lorna, Alan, Norman, and Herman. She rode horseback to school and carried a rifle to protect herself down by the river.
Mom was a strong woman who married Dad in a storm on November 23, 1963. Mom loved us girls, Marion and Stephanie, the farm, and a milk cow called Brat who only loved and listened to her. Mom excelled at growing a beautiful garden (best around!), chickens, pigs, and cattle. We ate like kings because she was a great cook. Growing up we had many cousins and extended family Sunday dinners all prepared from the food she grew.
Mom was a hardworking, wholehearted woman who loved her family and grand children, she never turned down an opportunity to cook or take care of them. Dalton and Skylar remember the farm getting to spend time with Gramma and Grampa helping.
Mom and Dad sold the farm in 2000 and lived in Battleford until her health took a turn for the worse, in 2007 they moved to Prince Albert. PA, closer to the younger grandkids, was the start of many sleepovers with demands for pancakes which were always met. When mom’s doctor asked what happened (she had come to be near us at the end) all her bloodwork had improved, she said “it’s harvest, and the kids need me”. Mom stayed till 2024, because we all needed her, but this spring with her cancer advancing she said she ready to go to Dad now.
Mom kept in touch with many people with her cheery texts and calls! I believe they will be missed; I miss my “Good Morning, I love you” texts already.
Agnes (Bobby) is survived by her daughters Marion (Curtis) Woroch-Krentz and Stephanie (George) Beauchesne. If you know mom at all you know how many grandchildren, as she bragged incessantly about them! Dalton and Skylar Rowlett, Kaleb, Kiera and Jacob Beauchesne. There are many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who remember her fondly.
A Service of Remembrance will be held for Agnes on Tuesday July 16, 2024 – 2:00 p.m. at the Garden Chapel on 1332-100th St, North Battleford, Sk, with Jo-Ann Hills officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium – Larissa Wack – Apprentice Funeral Director, Trevor Watts- Funeral Director.
The family would like to express sincere thank you to the Drs and staff at the Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert. In lieu of flowers family would like all donations to be sent to the Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert: 500 38th Street West, Prince Albert, SK, S6W 0A3.
