17-year-old in custody following shooting outside Lloydminster apartment

An almost 18-year-old youth is charged with aggravated assault following a shooting outside of an apartment complex in Lloydminster two days ago.
RCMP were called to the complex just after 10:30 pm on May 27 and started life-saving efforts on the victim until EMS arrived and took over.
According to a news release shared by the City of Lloydminster, RCMP have reason to believe the victim will not survive and the Major Crimes Unit is investigating. Other charges are also being considered.
The youth was arrested the next day and was remanded into custody by a Justice of the Peace.
