Since John and Della Mitchell first envisioned a wilderness haven from the outside world over 70 years ago, the memories and experiences of generations of families have since woven into a rich tapestry.

To help ensure its future, the family resort has been given a new lease on life. The newly dubbed “Rustic Cottages” now stand where the former buildings once stood, where all have modern amenities and two styles of cabins to choose from.

Each bright and airy getaway features two bedrooms and may host up to six people. The first style has a Queen-sized bed in one room and double-sized bunk beds in the other. The second option offers two Queen beds, and all home-away-from-homes boast Queen-sized hide-a-beds.

Once settled in the delightfully fashioned abode, the adventure begins. Throughout the warmer months, guests may venture out on water – lightly dappled with sunshine – in kayaks or canoes courtesy of the resort. Winter guests, meanwhile, may take to the trails by snowshoe and all may enjoy the sweet scent of fresh, northern air year-round.
