Armed man scheduled to appear in North Battleford court

A 37-year-old man is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court today (March 6) following an arrest Monday afternoon on Highway 16 near Delmas.

The Battlefords RCMP learned there was an armed man driving in the community and with the help of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), was taken into custody without incident.

According to the RCMP, he has since been charged with “five firearms-related offences, three counts of uttering threats and one count of resisting arrest.”
