Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan names nominees for provincial awards
Individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to multiculturalism in Saskatchewan, will be recognized later this month during the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCoS) awards.
Prince Albert’s Laeticia Mwayuma Ilunga is among four nominees for the youth leadership award.
“I was so proud of myself,” she told paNOW, when asked what the nomination means to her.
Mwayuma Ilunga has been involved with the Prince Albert Multicultural Council (PAMC) since 2018, and also works with the Association des Parents Fransaskois. One of her most recent projects was a fashion show that showcased multiple cultures and traditions including those from the Congo, Rwanda, India, China and Ukraine. There was also representation for First Nations.
