Two adults and a female youth are facing charges in connection to a tense situation last week in the Rural Municipality of Paddockwood.

On Sept. 23, shortly after 7 a.m, a number of people entered a property and were travelling in vehicles that been stolen from a separate location.

Through their investigation RCMP learned a property representative confronted two individuals, who were in one of the stolen vehicles.

The individuals responded by threatening the property owner with a firearm, before fleeing on foot. No physical injuries were reported to police. Officers later located and arrested the individuals nearby.

The other intruders fled in their vehicles and a second vehicle was recovered later that day on Sturgeon Lake First Nation. That’s also when a third person was arrested.

Reaching out to paNOW, the homeowner noted a total of six people came to the property. They also reported the two fleeing vehicles left at a high rate of speed.

Tyler Daniels, 27, Keanna Knife, 26, and the youth, have all been charged with break and enter with intent, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Knife was additionally charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a firearm while unauthorized.

Daniels was also arrested on his warrant from the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team.

It’s alleged that on Sept. 18, during a traffic stop at Sturgeon Lake First Nation, he fled from police. The vehicle involved was reported stolen from Christopher Lake on Sept. 1.

Later that night, RCMP officers found the vehicle parked outside a home on the Little Red River Reserve. As one officer approached the vehicle, the driver put it in reverse ramming the police vehicle and narrowly hitting another officer.

No one was injured but the police vehicle sustained heavy damage.

All three accused appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Sept. 25 and were remanded to a later date.
