RCMP looking for potential armed suspect seen near North Battleford school

RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of an armed individual seen near North Battleford Comprehensive High School (NBCHS).

The supposed incident happened around 3 p.m. on Monday with officers searching the area but were unable to find the potential suspect.

As a precaution, NBCHS initiated hold and secure protocols. This meant all external doors were locked and students were kept inside with the school day continuing as normal.

The hold and secure was lifted after about 15 minutes.
