One man facing 29 charges following incidents at Big River First Nation

A total of 29 charges are being laid against one man after a series of incidents this week on the Big River First Nation.

On Sept. 18, RCMP were called to the community for reports of a man injured during a fight. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police also allege the same suspect involved in the altercation threatened occupants of two homes in the First Nation on Sept. 18 and 19.

A province-wide warrant has now been issued for the arrest of Tristan Clay Whitefish, 23, of Big River First Nation.

He faces 29 charges including aggravated assault, uttering threats, and possessing a dangerous weapon.
