Mar 27, 2023 | 1:58 PM

The goaltender for the Humboldt Broncos has been charged after allegedly crashing his truck into a home.

RCMP arrested 20-year-old Jared Picklyk early in the morning on March 25 after finding his truck on a property on 12th Avenue in Humboldt.

He was charged after refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

No one was injured in the crash and RCMP didn’t have any information on the extent of damage to the home and property.

Picklyk is scheduled to make an appearance in a Humboldt courtroom on May 8.

Meanwhile, the SJHL and Broncos have both confirmed that Picklyk has been suspended indefinitely.

At this time, the only comment they have is that they’re fully cooperating with authorities looking into the situation.
