Man arrested following robbery in North Battleford

A man has been charged with robbery and resisting arrest following an incident that happened in North Battleford late Saturday morning.
Braden Zacharias, 25, was arrested yesterday afternoon just a few hours after the incident occurred.
Police say that Zacharias was at the checkout counter near the stores exit where he then threatened the clerk and forced them to let him leave without paying. He then pushed his cart out of the store and went down the street before employees lost sight of him. Police also report that the items that were reported stolen in the incident have since been recovered.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday morning.
