Two people in custody after police pursuit on Hwy 16

RCMP used a spike belt to stop a vehicle on Highway 16 near Waseca late yesterday following a police pursuit.

Multiple detachments were called out around 11 p.m., and officers blocked off the highway in both directions. They also warned drivers to expect significant delays.

At 3:00 a.m., both directions were re-opened after two people were taken into custody.

Police are expected to give an update later in the day, Wednesday.
