Vehicles reportedly struck by gunfire in North Battleford

Battlefords RCMP is investigating a report of a firearm being discharged at a vehicle, and battlefordsNOW has received photos of what appears to be damage from gunfire to a vehicle.

It is not clear if the incident is the same one being investigated by police or a separate one.

The incident reported by RCMP happened shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of 97th St. when a vehicle parked on the street was struck by at least one round fired from a second vehicle.

The vehicle targeted by the suspect(s) did have one occupant at the time of the incident. The occupant was not injured. The suspect vehicle is described as a grey four-door car, possibly a Honda Civic.

Separately, battlefordsNOW received photos from a local resident showing damage to the windows of a pick-up truck. The front windshield and rear window of the passenger cabin appear to have damage. In the email that accompanied the photos, the resident said the vehicle was shot at Thursday night around 11:00.
