Highway 16 closed west of Maidstone

Maidstone RCMP report Highway 16 is closed between Maidstone and Lashburn due to serious motor vehicle accidents and reduced visibility due to smoke in the area.

In the media release sent out just before 7 a.m., RCMP say visibility on the road is severely reduced and say they don’t know how long it will take for the investigation into the accidents. Motorists can expect detours in the area once investigators are set up.
