Charges filed after emergency alert near Lloydminster
Three people have been charged in connection with an emergency alert issued last Tuesday after shots were fired in the Lloydminster area.
A 24-year-old woman from Onion Lake, a 19-year-old woman from the Poundmaker Cree Nation and a 15-year-old male from North Battleford are each charged with one count of resisting or obstructing a peace officer, one count of flight from a peace officer, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
On Tuesday at about 2:45 a.m., the Lloydminster RCMP got a report of shots being fired at a house in Lloydminster. Police determined a black, newer-model Ford Mustang was involved and passed on that information to nearby RCMP detachments.
At 3:49 a.m., the Maidstone RCMP received a report of shots fired at a house in the RM of Britannia. Police were told a black Mustang had approached the house before a few people got out of the car and started checking vehicles parked in the driveway.
