Simone Daniels passed away peacefully on August 12, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born on December 22, 1925 in Spalding, Saskatchewan, fourth in line of fourteen children born to Adelard and Emelda Messier.  She grew up and spent most of her life in the Spalding and St. Front area, just spending a few years on Salt Spring Island, BC helping her oldest sister with her children, then again in Prince George, BC for a few years after marrying.

She married Thomas Daniels on January 4, 1956. To this union were born three children: Fred, Daniella and Robert.  Tom and Simone were together for just shy of 59 years, when Tom passed away on December 31, 2014.

Simone helped Tom build and run his auto repair shop, until their son Fred was old enough to become Tom’s helper, all the while raising three children and keeping house.  Her husband and her kids were everything to her and taking care of them was her pleasure in life, as well as putting in a big garden every summer and flowers around the deck in front of the house.

Simone is survived by her son, Fred Daniels; daughter, Daniella (Larry) Zagiel and son, Robert (Sandy) Daniels; grandchildren: Justin Daniels, Courtney Daniels, Daniel Zagiel, Timothy (Jemia) Zagiel, Lawrence (Ashley) Zagiel, Terrilyn Zagiel and Adrianna Penny; great-grandchildren: Dominic Zagiel, Jayden Zagiel, Adrianna Zagiel, Cohen Zagiel and Lennon Zagiel; sole surviving sister, Cecile Mortenson; sisters-in-law: Loretta Messier, Cecile Messier and Colleen Messier; and numerous nieces and nephews

Simone was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her parents: Adelard & Emelda Messier; siblings: Marthe, Simone (baby), Donat, Oscar, Eugene, Frank, Gilbert (infant), Ernest (infant), Aime, Noel, Cecile (infant) and Antonio.

No formal service will be held at this time.
