Town parade brings families together
Whether it was the sound of children giggling with delight, the honking of the old fire trucks, or music from passing floats, anyway you look at it there was plenty of excitement in Battleford during Friday’s parade.
It’s been three years since the town last held the annual event due to COVID restrictions, so it was clear everyone was glad to be out celebrating in downtown Battleford again.
The theme of the parade this year was “Better Together.” Some people also wore their “Better Together” T-shirts in the spirit of things.
The parade had a good number of entries with colourful floats from the Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford and Lakeland Veterinary Services, to name a few.
