Wanted men arrested on theft, weapons charges
Battlefords RCMP arrested two men on numerous offences over the weekend.
Members first got a report on June 3 in the evening that two wanted men were on Saulteaux First Nation. Officers responded, located the men on a grid road and advised them to stop as they were under arrest, before the two ran away through a field.
The officers followed them on foot, locating and arresting one of the men shortly after. The following day another report came in that he was on Saulteaux First Nation and he was located and arrested at a residence shortly afterwards.
As a result, 22-year-old Andy Swiftwolfe and 27-year-old Grant Swiftwolfe of Moosomin First Nation were both charged with one count of resisting arrest. They were also arrested on multiple warrants from the Battlefords detachment.
