One of accused in Damian Moosomin homicide sentenced for manslaughter
One of the individuals facing charges in the Damian Moosomin homicide investigation was sentenced to 15 years in prison for manslaughter on Friday.
Tye Partridge, 24, of Moosomin First Nation, is in custody and pleaded guilty to manslaughter when he appeared in North Battleford provincial court. A charge of first-degree murder in the case was withdrawn.
Judge Michelle Baldwin ordered a publication ban on the details of the proceedings until all the other co-accused individuals have gone through the court process.
She sentenced Partridge to 15 years in custody for the charge of manslaughter. The offender also received a lifetime weapons prohibition and must submit a DNA sample.
