Preliminary hearing not proceeding for accused in Moosomin homicide
A preliminary hearing for one of the accused in the Damian Moosomin homicide investigation that was set to start Monday did not proceed.
Tye Partridge, 24, of Moosomin First Nation, is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the case.
He is now scheduled to appear at North Battleford provincial court on May 27 to be spoken to.
Two others are also still facing charges. Stormy Wapass-Semaganis, facing a charge of first-degree murder, now has a preliminary hearing set for June 13 in North Battleford provincial court. Jannay Blackbird, facing a charge of first-degree murder, is next scheduled for a private pre-trial conference at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford May 20. She previously elected to be tried by judge and jury, with the date still to be set.
