UPDATE: ‘Armed and barricaded situation’ on Killdeer St. in North Battleford

UPDATE: At 8:03 Monday morning, RCMP confirmed the police operation has concluded. One man was taken into custody without incident.

The investigation continues.

North Battleford RCMP are asking residents to avoid the northwest corner of North Battleford.

On Sunday night, RCMP said there is “an armed and barricaded situation in an apartment building on the 2400 block of Killdeer Street, with a heavy police presence at the scene.

North Battleford RCMP has secured the area surrounding the apartment building. Efforts to negotiate with the barricaded man are ongoing.

To ensure public safety, officers are asking people to avoid the area.
