Charlotte Rasmussen passed away peacefully at the Battleford District Care Centre on April 13, 2022, at the age of 93.
Charlotte was born in Radville, Saskatchewan and after she married, lived on a farm just outside of Parry, Saskatchewan. In later years Charlotte and husband Earl moved to Regina to retire. A few years later Earl passed and eventually Charlotte moved to North Battleford to be near her daughter, Leah Milton.
Charlotte’s passion was family. Raising two sons and a daughter, together with her husband on the farm, was her greatest joy. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and being involved with the church. Charlotte was a cook for many years at Trossachs Gospel Camp and every summer was spent there with the family. Both Charlotte and Earl enjoyed being with people and appreciated the simple things in life. The house at the farm and their home in Regina was always filled with friends and family. At age 65, Charlotte began to paint and draw and went on to complete hundreds of pictures that were gifted to people she loved and sold at mini art shows. Throughout her entire life, Charlotte “adopted” many friends of her children and prayed for all her children on a daily baisis.
Charlotte is survived by her children: two sons: Leslie (Gailene) and Terry (Beryl Ann) Rasmussen, and one daughter, Leah Milton (Walter Kluser). Grandchild, Jennelle Rasmussen and Great-grandchild, Kyler Rasmussen, Grandchild, Arlin Rasmussen, Grandchild, Kurt (Laurie) Rasmussen, and Great-grandchildren: Isaac and Aya. Grandchild, Ben (Nicole) Rasmussen, Grandchild, Nancy (Garrett) Bailey and Great-grandchild, Abigail. Siblings: Eunice Daku, Winston Church and Edna Miller.
Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Earl in 1993; her parents, siblings and their spouses.
Celebration of life will be held at the Western Development Museum on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with coffee afterwards if you are wishing to attend.
