Battlefords RCMP arrested two men on multiple firearms charges just before Easter weekend.

On Thursday, the Battlefords Gang Task Force, with support from a provincial Critical Incident Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 900 block of 110 St. in North Battleford. This resulted in the seizure of three firearms, two of which were previously stole, along with the arrests.

The accused, 34-year-old Landin Gallie and 23-year-old Keagan Jackson, were both charged with numerous offences.

Gallie faces three counts each of possession of a firearm while unauthorized, possession of a firearm contrary to order and unsafe storage of a firearm, as well as possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.

Jackson is charged with possession of a firearm contrary to an order, careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm while unauthorized

Both of the accused appeared in court on Monday.
