It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle in Battleford Union hospital at the age of 62, with his beloved family by his side. To know Brian was to know one of the most tender and giving souls there ever was. Brian was born Sept 21/1959 to Eleanor and Leroy Haaland in North Battleford, Sk. Brian’s schooling was achieved within Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Once able he started a job dishwashing and then was further able to receive work with Allied moving. Where he worked for 25 years and was able to obtain his 1A license. He then found less physical work with Co-op driving the fuel truck and was employed for 18 years until his passing. Brian’s most favoured pastimes were quad rides with friends, family, and grandchildren. Watching his beloved Oilers or Riders, curling or baseball. He loved to barbeque or enjoy meals with family and friends as well as relished in joking with his cherished grandchildren. Brian leaves his life’s legacy to his loving wife Tracy Haaland, children Dustin Haaland and Jasmine Haaland. Step-children Laurie (Travis) Penner, Randy (Danielle Weum) Bodnarchuk. His treasured grandchildren, Nixon and Amelia Haaland, Leif Thomson, Wyatt, Emmett and Abigail Penner, Brooklyn and Reese Bodnarchuk. His siblings Linda (Brian) Brebner, Gary (Marilyn) Haaland, Dawn (Randy) Lee, Debbie (Ben Blakely) Simonson, Dean (Dianne) Haaland, Kelly (Gloria) Haaland, Julie (Rick) Nunweiller, Jody (Todd Pfiefer) Lehouillier, Lisa (Wayne) Givens, and Trent (Karean Rode) Haaland. As well as numerous treasured nieces, nephews and friends. Brian was predeceased by his grandparent Sarah and Oli Haaland, Ruth and Bertle Skoog, parents Eleanor and Leroy Haaland as well as sibling Greg Haaland and Kim Haaland.
