Police have arrested five people and seized drugs and weapons, following the execution of a search warrant Friday morning in Battleford.

Battlefords RCMP initially attended the residence in question on 33rd St., after a complaint of unwanted people came in late Thursday evening. Members on scene located five individuals in the residence, along with evidence of illegal drug activity.

Two adult males, two adult females and one youth were arrested at the home and taken into custody. Members then executed the search warrant on the residence in the morning and seized four firearms, a significant amount of cash and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine.

All parties remain in custody, while no decision on charges has been made at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.

Rural vehicle thefts

Glaslyn RCMP are asking the public to watch out for a stolen pickup truck.

Earlier on Friday, the detachment got a report of a green 1996 Ford F150 being taken in Glaslyn around 6:00 a.m. The truck has a canopy on the back and a Saskatchewan license of 287-MEZ.

St. Walburg RCMP are still investigating the theft of a trailer from main street in the Village of Mervin, since it was reported on Sunday. The stolen trailer has been described as a 2016 AA trail car trailer, orange in color and was taken some time within the past week.

Anyone with information on this or any other incident are urged to call their local detachment, 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
