RCMP Report Pt. 2: Stabbings, assaults, elderly woman robbed
Battlefords RCMP arrested two people in two separate stabbing incidents last week.
At residence west of Battleford on March 3, a man was found suffering from a stab wound to the torso and had to be transported to hospital for treatment. A 19 year old male was arrested on scene without incident and charged with aggravated assault. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 17 and the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
The other stabbing incident left a man with multiple wounds at a residence on Sweetgrass First Nation March 5. The victim was transported to hospital for serious injuries but is also expected to make a full recovery.
Ashley Pooyak-Seymour, the 29 year-old suspect, was known to the victim and was no longer on scene when police arrived. She was located later that day and arrested without incident. Pooyak-Seymour faces one count of aggravated assault and appeared in court on Monday.
