Jan 14, 2019 | 1:22 PM

The preliminary hearing for a second-degree murder case started Monday at North Battleford provincial court.

Joshua Roy Tucker, 27, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 59-year-old Gordon Tucker — his father.

The RCMP found Gordon Tucker deceased on May 31, 2018, on a rural property southeast of Cochin.

Preliminary hearings are held for the courts to determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed with trial. Tucker’s hearing is set to conclude this Thursday.

The allegations against the accused have not been proven in court.
