A look ahead to day two of the 2019 Meridian Canadian Open
After an exciting first night of action at the Civic Centre, the first full day of play for the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling: Meridian Canadian Open presents itself at 8 a.m.
A total of 20 games are on the schedule, with only 13 of those solidified at this point.
In the early draw, four women’s games are on display, starting with Winnipeg’s Darcy Robertson and Switzerland’s Elena Stern on sheet A. Next to that matchup is reigning Meridian Canadian Open Champion Chelsea Carey matching up against 2017 Champion, Lethbridge’s Casey Scheidegger.
On sheet C, it’s the lone men’s side game with Edmonton’s Brendan Bottcher up against Winnipeg’s Reid Carruthers. The winner will take on the winner of Regina’s Matt Dunstone and Winnipeg’s Braden Calvert who will take to the ice at 11:30 a.m.
