Sheet D will feature Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni and Japan’s Satsuki Fujisawa with Kerri Einarson and Nina Roth beside them on sheet E. The Einarson/Roth matchup is something the city of North Battleford will have their eye on, with that result having large implications in the city’s own Robyn Silvernagle’s road, in their second-round matchup.

At 11:30 a.m., three women’s games and two men’s games fill the sheets at the Civic Centre. The aforementioned Dunstone/Calvert game will be on sheet C, while Sault Ste. Marie’s Brad Jacobs will take on Switzerland’s Benoit Schwarz in the other men’s game on sheet A, wrapping up the first round of action on the men’s side.

On sheet B, the reigning Olympic gold medalists, Sweden’s Anna Hasselborg’s rink will be taking on another team from overseas in Scotland’s Eve Muirhead. Sheet D will feature a Canadian legend in Jennifer Jones’ rink taking on a young team in Sweden’s Isabella Wrana. Wrana is the 2017 world junior champion and was an alternate for gold medal-winning Team Hasselborg last year.

The hometown rink of Robyn Silvernagle will be a huge matchup in the third draw, as they will be taking on Tracy Fleury’s Manitoba rink.
