Spiritwood RCMP arrest man after pointing gun at youth

Spiritwood RCMP have arrested a man who allegedly pulled a gun on youths on Pelican Lake First Nation.

Police say on Feb. 6 Gaiton Sakebow entered a home, pointed the firearm at multiple youths before leaving the residence. He ended up firing the gun outside, however, no one was injured.

Sakebow, who is from Leoville, Sask. has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon while knowing possession is unauthorized, pointing a firearm, three counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.

He also faces one count of resisting/ obstructing a peace officer and was arrested on six other warrants including from the Prince Albert police service.
