City lifting proof of vaccination requirement
The City of North Battleford announced Friday it will end its enhanced COVID-19 restrictions in response to the province’s plans to remove mandates in the coming days.
“The City of North Battleford will be aligning with the Provincial Health Order change and removing the enhanced measures currently in place to enter city-owned facilities,” the city said in a statement. “Effective Monday, Feb. 14 the requirement of proof of double vaccination or a provincially approved negative COVID-19 test will no longer be required to enter City of North Battleford parks and recreation facilities.”
The city said in accordance with provincial rules, face masks will still be required where applicable in city facilities. The city is encouraging people to continue to physically distance where possible and to respect masking requirements.
The province’s public health order for mandatory masking in all indoor public spaces is currently scheduled to be removed Feb. 28.
